Automobile Accident Reconstruction

Stewart Koppel, age 22, is driving approximately 70 miles an hour on Grand Avenue, a 30 mile per hour zone while under the influence of alcohol. Road conditions were dry. Visibility was clear.

A Mr. Koppel approach the intersection of Nash and Grand, he failed to stop at a red traffic signal. Evidence shows the car was traveling so fast that it was launched into the air as it topped the hill just south of the intersection, leaving gauge marks in the street where the car impacted the street, 30 feet away from the intersection.

Three witnesses saw the Mr. Koppel approach the intersection. All three stated they saw the light was clearly red, and not green or yellow when Mr. Koppel entered the intersection and crashed into Mrs. Jonas’s Volvo SUV.
